Sexual violence affects individuals and communities as a whole, so it is vital that the entire community is engaged in making the community safer for its citizens. Merchants for Violence Prevention (MVP) is a new initiative at the Weber-Morgan Health Department, working to engage businesses in preventing sexual violence. Businesses can take part by having the Weber-Morgan Health Department train their staff in Upstanding, a bystander intervention curriculum, developed by the Utah Department of Health.  In addition to contributing to a violence-free community, businesses who participate will receive swag with MVP messaging, including poster, coasters, and/or certificates.
