UPDATE: Bridge Repair Closing Westbound Lanes on Riverdale Road

Two lane, then single lane closures due to concrete repair work of rough bridge joints

Utah Department of Transportation advises motorists that westbound Riverdale Road (SR-26) will be closed to all traffic at the Weber River Bridge for two days, beginning tonight at 10 p.m.

This closure is necessitated by unscheduled work to repair bridge deck joints that have become uneven and rough. Crews will begin concrete work tonight to repair these joints, which will require a short-term closure of the westbound lanes of the bridge, beginning at 10 p.m.  While crews will use quick-setting concrete to affect this repair, the westbound lanes of the bridge will be closed until Thursday morning at 10 a.m.

Additionally, a single lane closure westbound will be in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday night, until 10 a.m. Saturday morning to complete all of the repair work.

All motorists who normally use westbound Riverdale Road (SR-26), should use 30th Street (SR-79) to access I-15 or I-84, or the Riverdale Road commercial area west of the Weber River Bridge.  Motorists desiring to travel eastbound on I-84, can also use southbound Washington Boulevard/US-89 to access the interstate highway in Uintah.
