Mountain Alarm, a national leader in fire protection, security and home automation, recently opened a 40,000-square-foot building at 4155 Harrison Blvd. in Ogden. The building will serve as headquarters for the company’s fourteen branches in six western states as well as their national do-it-yourself brand.

“The new headquarters is a symbol of our continued growth and the great team we employ, who are so dedicated to protecting our customers,” said CEO and President, Rod Garner. “We’re grateful to remain family owned and will continue to conduct all of our operations in this great community.”

Rather than construct a new facility elsewhere, Mountain Alarm purchased and refurbished an existing building in Ogden to reinvest in the community they’ve called home since their founding in 1952.

Mountain Alarm’s state-of-the-art products and services include commercial and residential security systems, fire alarm systems, home automation, video surveillance, managed access, and test and inspections. Mountain Alarm’s central station is UL listed and offers the highest-rated 24/7 monitoring of burglar and fire alarms in the industry.

Mountain Alarm operates branches in Northern and Southern Utah, Idaho, and Colorado. Other Mountain Alarm brands include CopperState Fire Protection, operating throughout the state of Arizona, and Kenco Security and Technology with offices in Montana and Wyoming. Building on a foundation of installing and monitoring fire and security systems, Mountain Alarm has also experienced rapid growth through online sales with Link Interactive, a DIY brand which has expanded their business across the country and into Canada.

The company has grown to employ a team of over 250 in sales, technical, operations and administrative positions, protecting family homes as well as small businesses, major government buildings, schools, and higher-learning and religious institutions.
