Melissa Freigang is vice president for Social Innovation and Workforce Initiatives at LSI and Weber County Intergenerational Poverty (IGP) strategist. In these capacities, she leads specialized economic and workforce development programs aligning industry, education, social-sector organizations, and governmental and public-sector bodies. Before joining LSI in 2013, Freigang directed admissions, work readiness, work-based learning and career placement services teams at the Clearfield Job Corps Center. Freigang has also held leadership positions with Weber State University and Gonzaga University. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, a master’s in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University, and numerous post-graduate certifications. An Ogden resident, she is highly engaged in the community.
